A little love from Word-ka Shots reader, Prakriti (see her comment here) got us SO kicked, we had the audacity to put everything else on hold and take up her suggestion for this week's shot.
Many thanks and Cheers, Prakriti!

.Sometimes a thing could be said to possess life because it shows signs of decay .Here's our take on rust. Let us know what you think |
They cast you
in a different
die
and you outshone us
with twisted
smiles,
replaced us
with metallic lies,
and left us
stone faced and
debased.
we prayed to God-
and He sent us
rain.
-Jason | Bright, defiant, bold.
And yet, not
red;
She colored
neglected benches
and pipes in
the shed.
Painted a grin
of dust
On their surly
heads.
Still,
everybody looks
At Rain in awe.
And Rust
is always
looked down upon.

I
followed you
Through the heads And tails That chance begets. Found you In strangers' beds, Spread eagled Your face and eyes on fire And your mouth twisted In an upside down smile Knowing I was there. |
I
soak in the shapes
That
your body makes
As
you stretch fluidly
Chasing
away the strain.
My
eyes follow you obsessively
While
my hands and lips are left
Bereft
As I
wait
And
desire abates
And
I try to forget
How
much I want you.
